About This Lesson
Working individually, in pairs and in groups, students will:
• Examine eight different perspectives commonly used by the media to describe what
happened on November 3, 1979, and why.
• Contrast those perspectives with the facts and findings uncovered by the
Greensboro Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
• Understand that different perspectives of the same event can sometimes be true and
that different perspectives of the same event are sometimes not equally accurate.
