About This Lesson

Using http://context.montpelier.org as a reference, in this Notes of Debates lesson, students will understand why the Notes are important and how the Notes translated into our Constitution; will understand the thought processes and compromises the Framers were dealing with at the Constitutional Convention to create our Constitution; and will apply specific passages of the Notes and the Constitution to historical facts, current events, theory and philosophy, constitutional interpretation, and international perspective.
