Science/Physics: Forces

About This Lesson

A PowerPoint presentation which can be used for teaching as well as for learning (independently by students). It defines Newton’s laws of motion in simple words and then uses simple examples to illustrate these. The final slides have moving pictures where students can interact and draw arrows to show where the forces are acting.

Haven't looked through the whole lesson. Saw the second slide had multiple incorrect statements. (Forces ALWAYS act in pairs and this is the 3rd law of motion, not 1st)

The example questions are difficult if this the students' first time encountering forces. I would insert slides with examples of how forces are acting on objects before having the students try it on their own. Also, I would insert slides with the answers for each student question so students can immediately check their own understanding.
