About This Lesson
This summer marks the hundredth anniversary of the outbreak of World War I, which erupted in Europe at the end of July and beginning of August 1914. The war produced some great literature, which can help teachers to engage the interest of students as they investigate the causes, course, and effects of the war. The following six poems in the English language are a good supplementary resource for classes studying the war.
