About This Lesson

This week focuses on the ending or suffix tion, ture, and the short i sound. There is a matching word list. And a making words type lesson to reinforce the vocabulary and sounds during the week. In the daily language, students will break words into syllables, circle and underline parts of words and practice using their vocabulary in a sentence. The words of the day this week are the homophones flour/flower and the words plead, ordinary, ridiculous and admire. Students will also work on using commas in a series. There is a take home practice sheet that aligns with all that is covered this week.
