Starter which gets the students to match up the words; atom; element; compound; mixture and molecule to their meanings. Element; compound and mixture cards which I give to each student and get them to stand in different places in the classroom based on whether they think that they have an element/co More…mpound/mixture. PowerPoint to set the scene for the students - they have a tool kit which they must use to separate 4 different mixtures. wrap up matching pictures with the names of separation techniques and what they separate
