About This Lesson

This lesson plan utilizes primary sources to help students compare the United States before and after the war. Students will also gain an understanding of the plans for post-war Reconstruction and the Reconstruction Amendments. This lesson plan is aligned to Common Core and National Council for the Social Studies standards and has been endorsed by the History Channel.
