About This Lesson

In this unit students will compare and contrast multiple versions of Cinderella by different authors and from different cultures. The students will be asked to identify similarities in and differences between two texts on the same topic. The students will then retell their favorite version of Cinderella, and write an opinion on why they chose the version they did. Aligned to Common Core State Standards: RL.1.9, RI.1.9, W.1.1, W.1.6, L.1.1, L.1.5, SL.1.5
