Dream Vacation competition winner

Congratulations to Adam Feinberg, whose wonderful resources have won him a dream vacation worth $5,000! Adam works for NYC Department of Education.

"I LOVE sharing resources on www.sharemylesson.com. It is amazing to think that I can help educators without being in the same school. I have always loved being able to be useful to my colleagues, and this is the most successful way I've found in 7 years as a teacher.

The inspiration behind my resources are to have students actually doing something with the content, not just remembering it. They should be problem solving, critical thinking, role-playing - rather than just transforming or re-writing facts from one place to the other or completing assignments designed to make them rote-memorize the material.

I would encourage people to upload in this way - sharing resources causes you to improve all your resources and reflect on your teaching while you do it. It is a great, cathartic, and productive process and it has helped me see where I used to be as a teacher and where I am now."
